Sep 24: Cold front bringing strong winds and plenty of rain.

The cold front is finally hitting us today, and widespread impacts are already being felt across the north, primarily from strong winds gusting up to 35 knots and sustained winds of ~25 knots. Flooding has not been a major risk in the north, but further south it's very likely that we will see a dangerous flood threat for multiple low-lying areas. We may also see a few severe thunderstorms pop up with severe winds and/or hail,. as well as a very small risk of tornadoes. Strong winds will persist across most of the nation until everything clears. Temperatures this morning in the far north are ~50 degrees Fahrenheit, and these temperatures will likely peak at around 60 degrees later today. Frost will likely form in many northern areas. For the south, things will remain mostly the same up until the cold front hits.
